This morning, the new set of officers(execom) of the Youth for Christ (YFC) organization in Miriam College had their recoplanning. And in that new set of officers, I'm one of them. At first, it's not that easy to accept that I'm now an execom. I'm now a leader. I'm now one of the heads of this org. Why? It's because when I was in highschool, I used to be an officer in different organizations. Like for example, student council, senior council and in different clubs and after highschool, I promised myself that I will never again commit myself on big responsibilities and focus more on my studies. But in this recoplanning, the leaders prepared a lot of activities that helped us most especially me to understand why I am the one who is chosen to be an execom. One of these activities that I will never forget is the one with paper boats. Each one of us has given a paper boat made by one of the heads of that event. She first asks us to write on one side of the boat all the things that hinder us in doing our service, things that make us doubt in accepting the commitment and all the challenges we're going to face. On the other side of the paper boat, this time she told us to write all the things that we think we can do to conquer all the hindrances that we wrote on the other side of the paper. Then the head explain to us that some of us think that we are worthless that's why we doubt on things that God is giving us. Then she asked us to unfold the paper boat and look on the written statement on the paper. And this is what is written...
You may be unworthy...but you are NOT worthless. Let Me LOVE you.

When I read this one, I was shocked and touched by it because it is so true. We only think of ourselves as worthless because we think that someone else is more deserving than us yet we don't think that we're blessed enough that we're the ones who are CHOSEN by Him and be His instrument.
